Our Web Series would like to be on Funny or Die

Hi

We have a web series that's starting to gain a lot of popularity here in Portland, Oregon and we would like to be in a position where we can reach a larger audience.

The show is called "Foil Me" and it's about two lackluster super villains living together.

We have a great show and our fans are really loving it. But don't take my word for it. Just watch a couple episodes and see what you think.

We'd love to be on Funny or Die with the rest of the good stuff! Check out our show, Foil Me, here!

Have you uploaded any of your content on the site? If not, why not?

Honestly I didn't know it was set up that way. It just seems like everything is good quality, and screened first. Doesn't have all the junk of youtube.

I will do. How does it work on getting featured or being an exclusive?

There isn't a formal process in place just yet for featured videos on the homepage. Our gatekeepers are constantly looking out for high view/high rated videos to place. So more than likely if your content receives great ratings it'll get noticed.

But again, if you feel like your clip is being overlooked, please by all means let us know.

    Hey Keith

We talked the other week about my web series and uploading it to Funny or
Die. You mentioned letting you know if you feel like it is being over
looked. I know it has only been a week, so technically I can't really say
"over looked" so I'll ask what I can do to get it noticed and watched more?
We now have 7 episodes up. 7 really good episodes I might add. haha.

    Thanks and let me know

No promises, but you are on the radar. Our featured gatekeeper is aware of your series - we talked today.

In the mean time, make sure you keep it out there: reach out to comedy websites, comedians online, people on twitter, random bloggers, or maybe even create an FOD article talking about the series, and pointing back to your profile.

    Matthew,

Thanks for sending over an email, the series looks really well put together
but some of the episodes might be a little too long to be featured on the
home page, our users have a particularly high level of ADHD which usually
cuts them off around the 3 minute mark.

I'll try to feature one of the videos in the next couple of weeks on the
home page and see how our audience responds to it and if they respond well
feature more. Let me know if you feel any one episode is significantly
better than the others and I'll try to feature it, otherwise, I think the
training day one is pretty good.

    take care

    Hey
I completely understand, BUT I will argue if only to give you confidence in
putting it up there. We have gotten great numbers on Youtube. 13,000 channel
views. They're running ads on two of our shows and our original trailer. Was
just emailed yesterday that we've made the semi finals in a contest on
Yobi.tv where we entered the first episode into two contests and in each
    contest they've gotten over 30k views.[Total 60k+ views] We've been
contacted by the guys at Funnyordie.com because they're glad we uploaded to
them. The quality of the writing, acting, and look keep them entertained for
the extra two minutes. I promise you, put it up, you won't regret it.

Thanks for the opportunity and let me know when you've put it up so I can
    alert our fans.

Ah. This is Funny or Die. Sorry. Been hit with a couple of emails lately.
Thought this was another web site. But yes, I was talking to another guy and
he said he talked to someone about it. I guess that someone was you.

Yeah probably, let me know if you have a best one in mind you'd like feature
and when we have a spot, I'll try to feature it. we typically don't feature
things that were popular in other places already, but if I have a spot, I'll
    see what I can do.

Episode 5 is probably our best episode. We would really appreciate it. I
wouldn't say it was necessarily popular in other areas. At least not the
numbers I want and that I see on Funny or Die. I think our show really hits
the demographic that you guys attract and would love to see it succeed
    there.

    Thanks
